Dr. Woodbridge C. "Woody" Brown, 92, of East Moline, IL, passed away Sunday August 21, 2022 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, IL.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 26, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Following the memorial service, inurnment will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline.

Woodbridge "Woody" was born September 15, 1929 in Mt. Morris, Michigan, the son of Elmer and Emma (Ashford) Brown. He was first married to LaVera "Joy" Hollenbeck until her death in 1997. He then married Daphne Frane on May 1, 1999 in East Moline.

Woody graduated from Iowa State University in 1954 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He received a Master's Degree from Florida State University in Research and Development Management, and a Doctorate from North Carolina State University in Occupation Education. He was a member of Iota Lamba Signa and the Kansas City Society of Manufacturing Engineers, where he had served as chairman in 1984.

He honorably served in the United States Army. Woody was employed by General Dynamics and NASA at the Space Center in Florida, Appalachian State University, North Carolina College System, and retired from the University of Central Missouri at Warrensburg, Missouri.

Woody is survived by his wife, Daphne, of East Moline. He was preceded in death by his brother, Howard "Howie" Brown.
