Funeral services for Wynona "Nona" Vallejo, 77, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:00 am Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Silvis, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, Silvis. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm. After many years of fighting Alzheimer's , Wynona passed away peacefully Friday, February 19, 2016, at Kewanee Care Home, Kewanee, IL. Wynona Marie Meeds was born April 5, 1938, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Norvella Willard Meeds. Raised and educated in East Moline, she lived in the Washington , IL area before returning to The Quad City area. She married Lawrence "Larry" Vallejo November 5, 1979 in Moline. Wynona worked many places throughout the years in retail, restaurants and manufacturing. In the early days she held her own against the men in manufacturing. She enjoyed participating in craft shows with Larry, specifically with her knitting and embroidery designs.She loved her owls. She had been an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She cherished her family deeply and will be remembered for her love of family. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Larry Vallejo, Silvis; children, Dale (Linda) Roseman, Stansbury Park, UT, David (Kimma) McIntyre, Kewanee, IL, Katherine (Berthold) Erdmann, Kewanee, IL, Steve (Diane) Vallejo, Moline, Connie (Bryce) Laud, East Moline, Patti (Dan) Ciccomoscolo, Las Vegas, Johnny Vallejo, East Moline, Larry Vallejo, Silvis, Chrissy (Bill) Lilliman, Milan, Celeste (Adan) Favela, Silvis.: 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren with 1 on the way; sister, Carol Ellett, Woodbury, TN; many nieces and nephews as well as many great friends including the "Friday Night Friends". She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Roseman; half brother, Jack Meeds. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or Harbor Light Hospice, Galesburg, IL.
