Funeral services for Zelma H. Hemphill, 86, of East Moline, IL, will be 10AM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Hemphill died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Zelma Rocco was born November 19, 1921 in Success, AK, the daughter of Thomas and Mabel (Randolph) Rocco. She married John W. Hemphill July 5, 1941 in Aledo, IL. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and neighbor. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, John Hemphill of East Moline, IL; son and daughter-in-law, John and Joyce Hemphill of Farmington, MO; grandchildren (spouse), Angela (Brett) Farley of Farmington, Scott Hemphill of Farmington: great grandchildren, Tori and Bennett Farley; sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia and Gene Stamps of Poplar Bluff, MO, Joyce Foster of Poplar Bluff; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Hazel Rocco of Clyde, TX.
