Funeral services for Zoe M. Degraer, 95, of Menahga, MN, formerly of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home where a liturgy service will be held at 6:30 PM. Mrs. Degraer died Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home, Menahga, MN. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline, where she had been a longtime member. Zoe Vansteenkiste was born May 12, 1909 in Klercken Belgium, the daughter of Henri and Emma (Schollaert) Vansteenkiste. She married Marcel Degraer, October 7, 1931 in East Moline, IL. He died March 2, 1995. She had worked at Republic Drill & Tool Company, Chicago, IL, during WWII. She later worked at the former John Deere Malleable, East Moline, IL, where she retired in 1951. She was a member of the St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society and the Moline Belgium Culture Club. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and flowers. Survivors include: daughter and sons-in-law, Marcella and John Hunt of Silvis, IL, Gabriella and Ron Maertens of Menahga, MN; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Mildred Degraer of Monroe, MI; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; brother, Julien Vansteenkiste of Werken, Belgium. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson David Hunt, 5 sisters and 2 brothers
