Gloria J. Flores Cooper

Gloria J. Flores Cooper, 62, of East Moline, IL, gained her wings in the arms of her daughter, Amber, on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at her home in East Moline.

In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned at this time. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gloria was born November 7, 1960, in Moline, Illinois, a daughter of Lindy and Betty Whittington Cooper.

Gloria will be fondly remembered as one of a kind, everyone either called her mom, Aunt Glo or Glo Glo. She had one of the biggest hearts you could ever come across.

She was a wonderful example of strength to her family. Her children were the wind beneath her wings. She loved her children and her grandchildren more than anyone could ever know. Gloria put up one heck of a fight, not because she wasn’t ready but because her worry was her children and her grandchildren.

We were blessed to be able to spend the time with her, and will remember every talk, hug, laughter and tears she shared. Gloria will be forever loved and missed by all.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Jeff Cooper (Mindy Fredrickson), Rock Island, Jason Cooper, Stockton, IA, Amber Christian, Brandon, MS, and Cody Smothers, Bloomfield, IA; ten grandchildren; siblings, Bill Cooper, Moline, Ronnie Cooper, East Moline and Linda Rogers, Silvis, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and other family.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Robert and Gary Cooper.
