Judith B. "Judy" (Boetje) Knudsen

Judith B. “Judy” Knudsen, 83, formerly of East Moline, IL, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas.

Memorial servics will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, at St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline. Inurnment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Judy to the Reclaim Program at Two Rivers YMCA, Moline, IL.

Judy was born July 22, 1938 in Rock Island, IL, a daughter of Charles F. and Kathryn Rose (Crouch) Boetje. She married Charles (Ted) Knudsen on September 8, 1957 in Rock Island, IL. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2021.

Judy was a talented seamstress and devoted caregiver for many years. She enjoyed working out with friends, getting manicures, sewing, crocheting and shopping with her sisters.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline. Her faith and family were first and foremost in her life.

She will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a very giving person to those around her, and will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are her daughters, Connie (Gary) Hartzler, Highland Village, TX, Jana Haskins, Moline, and Kim (James) Crinklaw, San Antonio, TX; numerous beloved and adored grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Jackie Nesseler, East Moline, Joyce Corwin, Downey, CA, Joanne Dale, Huntley, IL, and Janet Miller, Milan, IL; and many dear nieces, nephews, and other family.

Judy was preceded in death by her son, Chuck Knudsen; husband, Ted; son-in-law, Timothy Haskins; and her parents.

Judy would want everyone to remember this: “Don’t worry, be happy.”
