Kevin Clauson 65, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Moline, Illinois passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2022. Kevin was born March 25, 1957, to Richard and Jean (Newberg) Clauson. He was a 1975 graduate of Moline High School. Kevin worked for Eagle Foods and International Harvester in Moline before moving to Boise in 1987. For 35 years Kevin worked for various companies as a highly respected, sought after Crane Operator. He played a vital role in constructing many buildings and bridges throughout Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. Most notable was his part in the construction of the Chobani Yogurt plant and the Idaho National Laboratory. His thumbprint in Idaho is too numerous to mention. Kevin was a faithful blood donor, donating 40 units of blood, nearly five gallons. We were told that this saved 117 lives. Kevin was a friend to everyone he met, always willing to help his family, friends, and neighbors. He would spend hours on the phone with family and friends reliving old times. He loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews, never missing a family gathering. Even the pets looked forward to his visits and the special treats he would bring. He had a heart of gold and will truly be missed by everyone. He is survived by his brothers Richard (Jaime Bell) Boise, Greg (Robin) Destin, FL. Gary (Ginny) Crossville, TN, and sister Tammy (Dennis) Thomson, Boise and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents; Reuben and Regina Clauson, Ruth Olsen, and Richard Newberg.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 pm Saturday, August 27th, 2022, at Shenandoah Estates Community Center, 5603 Bullrun Lane, Boise, ID. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to your local humane society or blood donation in his memory.
