Mary Alice Gremonprez

Funeral services for Mary Alice Gremonprez, 96, of East Moline, IL, will be 10 AM Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-6 PM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3 PM. Mrs. Gremonprez passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.

Mary Alice Collins was born September 10, 1926, in Trenton, MO, the daughter of Harold and Mary Louise Weekley Collins. She was a graduate of St. Anthony’s School of Nursing and was a member of the National Honor Cadet Nurses Corps. She married Walter Gremonprez June 19, 1948, at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. He passed away August 6, 2007.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Greg) Wegner, Grand Detour, IL, Dan Gremonprez, West Bend, WI, Annette (Steve) Wilson, Moline, IL, Joan (Jim) Kramer, Fulton, IL, and Amy (Darren) Hart, Hampton, IL; grandchildren, Kathryn (Will) Cavert, Joseph Wegner, Kimberly (Ralph) Gosch, Sarah (Graham) Hill, Eric Gremonprez (Rebecca Wayman), Andrea (Noah) Petersen, Nicholas (Angela) DeVolder, Megan (Bryan) Gruendler, Joshua Gooch (Mary Lamer), Bridget (Chad) Liske, and Lauren Hart (Alec Austin); 8 great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Karen Collins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Harold (Nita) Collins, Jack (DoDo) Collins, Richard Collins, and Betty DeRoover.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
