Funeral services for Mary Ann Meincke, 89, of East Moline, IL, will be 10 am Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Burial will be at St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 3-5 pm Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 2 pm. Mrs. Meincke passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.
Mary Ann Lampo was born October 30, 1933, in East Moline, the daughter of Alphons and Mary (DeBel) Lampo. Mary Ann married Robert C. VanOpdorp in 1953, they later divorced. She then married Jack Meincke in 1982. Jack preceded Mary Ann in death on May 1, 2007. She retired from Litton Life Support, Davenport. Mary Ann and Jack enjoyed being together whether working, traveling, or spending time with family and their church community at St Mary’s East Moline, and Christ the King, Moline. Her family and friends were the focus of her life.
Those left to cherish include her children; Robert M. VanOpdorp, Aledo, Jean Hansen, Moline, Cheryl Williams, Moline, Terry VanOpdorp, Silvis, Lee (Emily) VanOpdorp, Bettendorf, Todd (Karen) VanOpdorp, Moline; bonus daughters; Wendy Abel, Dallas TX and Kit (& Ron) Wahn, Bettendorf; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sisters; Anne Blomme, Moline and Theresa (Edward) Challenger, Freeport; brothers, Gerard (Marlyn) Lampo, Minnesota, and Edward (Kay) Lampo, East Moline.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Albert Lampo and Joseph Lampo; son-in-law, Joe Hansen; and daughter-in-law, Debi VanOpdorp
