Nancy Bowman

Nancy Marie Bowman, 83, of Colona, Illinois, passed away peacefully Monday, March 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. According to her wishes, a private funeral service was held on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Nancy was born December 15, 1940, in Geneseo, Illinois, the daughter of Peter and Frances (Bohart) Lievens. She married Tom Bowman on March 27, 1966, in Hannibal, Missouri. She retired from John Deere in December 1999.

Survivors include Nancy’s children, Colette (Jeff) Breault, Cour De Lane, Idaho; James (Lisa) Bowman, East Moline; Greg Bowman, Lexington, South Carolina; Doug (Kelli) Bowman, Rock Island; Misty (John) Dowdal, Colona; adopted daughters, Meaghan Barnett and Aran (Jeff) Reddig, both of Colona; grandchildren, Nicole, Brandon, Daniel, Jeanie, Jonathan, Ava, Evan, Emma, Ellen, Olivia, Cole, Tyler, Christian, and Jena; and several great grandchildren; brother, Jim (Darlene) Lievens, Neosho, Missouri; and sister, Joyce (Ron) Vermost, Aiken, South Carolina.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and infant sister.

Memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Colona, or Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis.
