Robert "Bob" Beale Sr. Obituary

Robert “Bob” Beale Sr., 72, of Port Byron, IL, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022, at home. A Celebration of Life will be 12-4 pm Saturday September 3, 2022, at Ronda's home, where military honors will be performed by the East Moline American Legion Post 227.

Bob was born June 26, 1950, in Rock Island, IL, the son of Robert W. and Jacquelyn (Bonne) Beale. He was a graduate of United Township High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Margaret Ford. He later married Ronda (Schmell) Long, February 20, 2004, in Rock Island. He worked for John Deere, Oak Glen Nursing Home , UTHS, Sevier Steel and lastly at D&G Real Estate. Bob was a Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed fishing, going to the John Deere Classic, taking Sunday drives with his wife which usually ended up “antiquing” and bringing some new treasure home.

Survivors include his wife, Ronda Beale, Port Byron; children, Rebecca Murphy, East Moline, Andrea Howard, Davenport, IA, and Robert (Kelly) Beale Jr, Rock Island; step-children, Michael Long, Princeton, IA, and KayLee Long (Carl McGee), East Moline; grandchildren, Conner, Shawn, Liam, Jonah, Laken, Addisen, and Patrick; siblings, Larry (Shelby) Beale, FL, Vicki (Kenny) Lee, East Moline, and Steven (Cheryl) Beale, Aledo, IL; and nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Ryan Murphy; and sister, Jan (Dayne) Greene.
