Terry J. Thomas, 50, of Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in Mendota, IL

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, IL. Memorials may be made to the family.

Terry was born April 27, 1972 in Mendota, IL, a son of Eugene and Janet (Manning) Thomas. He married Lisa S. (McNew) Huizenga on September 30, 2021 in Rock Island.

Terry had worked at FCA Packaging. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Chicago Bears, Cubs, Bulls, and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa, of Moline; son, Austin Swank, Florida; stepdaughters, Carissa (John) Young, North Carolina and Nichole Huizenga (Marcus Ernest), Moline; special step grandson, Amari Ernest; brothers, Robert (Kay) Thomas, Mendota and Michael Thomas, LaSalle; sister, Diane Henry, Mendota; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cheryl Rubottom.
